Would you still buy products with high brand recognition even if the quality isn’t exceptional? A higher price doesn’t necessarily mean better ingredients or better results. When I see familiar brands like Chanel, Estée Lauder, or Olay in magazine ads, I feel compelled to warn people: don’t buy these expensive brands just because everyone else does. You’re not buying quality—you’re buying a name. I personally wrote these notes to challenge your buying habits and intervene in your shopping experience while browsing the magazine. The research I put into these products is meant to guide your choices and make you question the ads around you. This is a form of protest against the advertised products—encouraging you to consider alternatives, rather than simply following the hype.
